SPENCER ELLIOTT

Spencer has worked in small family business and large, multinational corporations. With over a decade of leveraged buyout experience, including $800+ million of principal investments in middle market companies, Spencer brings significant investing and transaction experience enabling SET Capital Partners to conduct due diligence and close a transaction quickly and efficiently.

Spencer was previously a Vice President with Bain Capital Credit, where he helped source, diligence, structure and manage credit investments backing private equity buyouts of middle market companies. He began his career at J.P. Morgan, with roles in JPM Mezzanine Capital, a proprietary investing group, where he helped source, diligence, structure and manage over $400 million of junior debt and equity investments in the chemicals distribution, oilfield services, food and beverage and consumer goods industries, and Syndicated and Leveraged Finance, where he helped raise capital for more than 30 acquisitions and refinancings, including high yield bond issuances totaling more than $5.5 billion.

Spencer grew up working in the family business, fabricating and installing geomembrane systems. From operating welding equipment, driving a forklift, serving customers and completing jobsite installations, he learned the persistence and determination small business ownership demands. Spencer graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University with a B.B.A. (Finance and Economics).
